Abstract:
Over the last twenty years, many efforts have been made to explain what has been called dark energy. Despite the large number of dark energy models, current observational data is not enough to discriminate among the many existing modes, since most of them provide the same good fits when compared to data. In this talk, I will review the current status of dark energy physics and possible new routes to break such degeneracy among theoretical models.
