Abstract:
A minicourse on Model Based Clustering, including Gaussian Mixture Models for Continuous Data, extensions for No Gaussian distributions and Mixture Models for Categorical and for Mixed Data. It will start from the very beginning with the aim of reaching some advanced topics in this area. The proposed approach will range from Statistical theory to the algorithms and their corresponding implementations in R. Students who attend this course are requested to bring their laptops with them. The course will take place on June 30, July 2, and July 3, from 12:00 to 13:30.
