Abstract:
The speakers will present the most recent advances in the subject form their own perspective: - Constrained Model-based clustering (M. Riani, July 10th, 18:00-20:00) - Decomposition of the total sum of squares for mixtures of linear regressions. (S. Ingrassia, July 12th, 15:00-17:00) - Parsimonious models according to the Underlying Response Variable approach (R. Rocci, July 13th, 9:00-11:00). The course is intended to discuss in an interactive way with doctoral students the theoretical aspects of the different methodologies, as well as computational issues. The course extends and complements the lectures presented at the AMyC workshop.
