Abstract:
Different statistical methodologies for clustering and measuring inequalities will be presented. In particular, novel model-based clustering approaches based on ultrametric models for hierarchical dimensionality reduction will be considered. Statistical approaches for measuring inequalities will also be reviewed, along with some applications to measure income inequality and the gender gap.
